Remember Stella & Dot?

My Stella & Dot order arrived in the cutest little boxes.

Delphie Studs £19.00 - Link

Gilded Arrow Ring £25 - Link
Last Saturday, my friend Louise (she has a blog too!) held a Stella & Dot 'Trunk Show' in her living room. Me being the novice blogger forgot to take my camera along so sorry about that!
The gorgeous Sarah showed us some of the latest collections and some old favourites. If you're thinking of hosting your own Trunk Show I can highly recommend Sarah Ryman I feel like she's my best friend and I've only spent a few hours with her! She was really helpful in helping me choose and arranged our orders as soon as she got home (which must have been past 11pm!).
Get in contact with Sarah here.
Did you know Stella & Dot are a celeb favourite over in the States? Katy Perry and Jennifer Anniston are fans. Click here to see more celeb style.

There's a Rocky Road ahead!

My first food post is finally up!

It's a really easy one for the whole family to do together and great for a naughty chocolate fix.

125g Soft Butter
300g Chocolate - Use a good quality dark chocolate for a rich and decadent result (70% minimum), kids may prefer milk chocolate which works too and much creamier than dark.
3 tablespoons golden syrup
200g rich tea biscuits
100g mini marshmallows
Icing sugar for dusting - optional

Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a saucepan. Once melted, put aside about 125ml of the mixture for later.

Put the biscuit pieces into a freezer bag and then bash them with a rolling pin. You want both crumbs and biscuit pieces so don't go too crazy!

Fold the biscuits into the melted mixture then add the marshmallows and smooth down.

Now, get the reserved 125ml of melted chocolate, pour it over the biscuit/marshmallow mixture and smooth it down again.

Now it's ready to go in the fridge. Keep it in there for about 2 hours until it's set then cut it up into either generous squares or little fingers.

TIP: When cutting up, use a warm knife. I used a pizza cutter and nearly lost a finger.

Enjoy! Let me know if you have a go at making them - Mollie did :)

Have you heard of Stella & Dot ?

Stella and Dot is a company based in San Francisco that sell beautiful boutique style jewellery globally. Their unique collections are available online but what really attracted me to this brand is the opportunity they give women to build their own careers through selling Stella and Dot in their own home - or our homes really through 'Trunk Shows'.

Trunk shows are like a pop-up shop in your living room. A Stylist will come to your home with a collection of goodies for you and your friends to drool over and buy. When you host a Trunk Show you will earn Style Rewards, get 40% off and also receive an exclusive hostess gift!

Sounds like the perfect excuse to get the girls round for some wine and shopping!

My good friend Louise, is hosting a show at the end of this month so I've had a good look through the collections and already I've built up my wish list:

Interlock Heart Necklace - £40 & Odette Ring - £25
 Maya Bracelet - £29 & Mary Margaret Stone Ring - £32
Let me know what your favourite pieces are!

Girl Crush: Gabrielle Aplin

Meet Gabrielle Aplin.

Her first album, English Rain, was released in May this year and has taken the UK by storm. At the tender age of 20, she has toured with Charlie Simpson and Ed Sheeran as well as headlining 6 of her own UK tours.
For some she appeared to be an overnight sensation when her version of ‘The Power of Love’ featured in last Christmas’s John Lewis Advert. She started off uploading covers and some original songs to YouTube almost 5 years ago and finally released her Acoustic EP as a digital download in 2010. She then went on to release Never Fade EP in 2011 and Home EP in 2012.
The Power of Love reached number 1 in the UK charts and her second single 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' reached number 6 and also appeared in E4's Made In Chelsea series.

She’s come such a long way since I saw her back in 2010. There was barely 20 people at that show and now she’s wowing the crowds in the acoustic tent at Glastonbury. Her latest single Home was released July 14th.
